“Act 2. Its all Jazz”
(How the structure of Latin partner-dance is designed to function musically)
On Sunday, JULY 21, we will take the structure from Act 1 and explore its musical design. Where's the music in partnerwork? How did we so quickly discard the most important things the dance tried to address musically? It's become a diarrhea of turns for turns sake and something so far removed from whence it was birthed. But the secrets are all there hiding in the most basic tenants of the dance. We will strip back the misinformation of what’s popular, get to the root of how the interaction between two people in this dance is designed to be musical, and how its physical structure facilitates that.
All levels of experience are welcome and either one or both days of this workshop may be taken, although attendance for both parts is recommended.
ACT II: Sunday, July 21 - from 12-2PM
Pricing: $45 in advance/$55 day of
